Kosheen occurs as UK trip hop, drum and bass musical group which consists of 2 producers, Markee Substance & Darren Decoder (really title Darren Beale), & singer Sian Evans. Their number 1 album, Resist (released in mid-2002 and reaching number Octet in a UK album chart) spawned the singles "(Slip and Slide) Suicide", "Hide U", "Catch", "Hungry", & "Harder". Their 2nd album, Kokopelli (released inside late 2003 and named for the fabulous Indigen Our contries spirit) focused less in drum-&-bass beats & sir thomas more on guitar riffs & darker-toned lyrics. It outperformed its predecessor in the UK album chart by reaching total Septenary.

A title of the band occurs as combination of the Japanese words for "old" (romanized transliteration ko) and "new" (shin).
